Sargent Barnes

Ive recently just been watching DVD's I have lying around that I havent seen in a while and saw Platoon and I have to say,Lt Barnes is such a great character I can't believe no one has ever tried to use the character other than to basis him off one of the main villians, Krauser, from Resident Evil 4.

1) Apocalypse Now

2) Full Metal Jacket

3)Platoon

Another idea - probably a bad one but it would be interesting if there was a comic series were the characters from each vietnam movie crossed paths.I mean Vietnam is a small country you'd think they'd bump into each other eventually.

These pieces come from a recent animation I did for a games website.Originally it was meant to be just for a shot but then I realized that I had to finish it off.I really like the character designs in Mass Effect especially this guy so this was a nice little project.

Hey there fellow Shtufferines had something I was going to post to the shack but its not quite going to plan.


Instead I thought id put up one of my minor character drawings from last summer.The idea was that I had to select a minor character from a movie,either a supporting character or a part that got less than 10 minutes and they had to say at least something notable or just something that sounds strange out of context.It was a great laff but unfortuately never got to finish it.I just thought it was a shame that some characters never got their due in some movies so it was a little tribute to them.

This was week two of the project,Gaff from Blade Runner.The story behind this one was that the actor,Edward James Olmos, created a language especially for the movie that was a mixture of different dialects from around the world.In the Hungarian version of Blade Runner,this is what you hear when Gaff first speaks.

P Heads Lament

So just finished playing Silent Hill 2 and I just thought id do a quick sketch of the infamous Pryamid Head.Have to Say,I know the game is about the development of the main human characters and the destruction of their mentalities but i have to feel sorry for that guy especially since he's been included in the other Silent Hills for no apparent reason.

Not so fantastic...

Nothing needs to be said really.All I will say is when the hell are all those vampire trends going to end? We need an elephant man trend or Cthulhu ; the high school years.Actually we dont.

A grasshopper walks into a bar and orders a drink.

Grasshoppers.The most empty of Gods creatures I reckon or at least in the insect kingdom.All they do is jump around and skive off poor ants.Bloody leeches.

So for this one I finally used (some) photoshop just to touch it up a bit.Trying to ween myself off artrage little by little but i just can't help myself.The layering system is so good.

Never was good at first impressions but I was determined to get something up by the weekend.This was a project I started during the summer which i just finished right now.I wonder how the thing would have turned out if i didnt delay it.Anyway just wanted to try some effects on Artrage 2 that I never used.

Right thats one in the bank, could get used to this art blogging thing.Gonna try some photoshop fer the next one so stay...around.Yeah.
