Back In The Habit...

 After about a year and a half absence,I'm hopefully finally returning to regular life drawing! I've only done a little figure drawing here and there between that time but it's great to get back into proper anatomy drawing. The class I went to mainly comprised of quick gestures that gradually became 10-25 minute poses. Despite being a bit rusty on the old quick sketches,it wasn't half bad and I managed to get some decent pieces out of the session.

Part 1 of a series of pieces based on the Snakes of the Metal Gear series.First up is the perfect clone and ex-president of the United States,Solidus Snake.I always liked the design on this character and I thought he had a lot of potential but unfortunately was wasted on what was Metal Gear Solid 2.Less said about that one the better...

The One They Call Devy

Been meaning to do this for a while but I finally did an illustration of the one and only Devin Townsend! The guy has been such a major inspiration to me since I first started college and his music is almost always present whenever I'm up to something constructive (or contructively deconstructive in that manner.) 

So I had some time to kill before his gig recently so I got to work.In terms of reference,I was spoiled for choice as the guy has such great facial expressions! I did about 3 attempts until this beauty popped out!
